Band 2 Fails to Charge
When charger is connected, battery does not charge
Disconnect the charging cable, make sure it is free of dust and debris and then reconnect the cable, ensuring that it is fully inserted into charging port. Make sure the gold connectors on the charger match up with the gold connectors on the device clasp.
Band 2 Won’t Turn On
When trying to hold down the button to turn the device on, the screen remains black. The device is unable to be used.
Attempt to charge the device by plugging the USB port into a computer or wall charger and attach the magnetic charging connector to the charging port on the clasp of your band. Make sure that the gold connectors on the charging cable match up with the gold connectors on the device clasp.
Screen is Black or Difficult to See
Screen is difficult to see or not displaying anything.
Move the watch into a low light setting and check to see if the screen is displaying anything at all. If screen is completely black, move on to Replacing the Screen on Microsoft Band 2.
From the main menu, press the gear wheel to enter settings, scroll right and press the gear wheel again to go into advanced settings. From here, try selecting a higher brightness setting. If this does not solve the problem, move on to Replacing the Screen on Microsoft Band 2
Sensor is not Working
Sensor won’t track changes in exercise tracking (speed, distance, elevation, and personal bests), calorie burning, and sleep quality.
Ensure sensor nodes are clean and making contact with skin when watch is worn.

Notifications Don’t Show Up
Notifications do not appear on Band 2.
Make sure “Do Not Disturb” is turned off. Attempt to restart the band. Ensure your band is properly connected to your phone.
Cannot use voice commands
Band 2 is Not Responding to Voice Commands.

Make sure the microphone opening is clear of debris.
Make sure the action button is functional and that you press it for a full two seconds in order for Cortana to pop up.

- On your phone, open the Microsoft Health app, tap the hamburger menu, and select My Microsoft Band.
- Tap unregister your Band
- On your Microsoft Band 2, press the power button and tap Settings (gear icon)
- Tap the Power icon
- Swipe left, and tap Reset device.
- Tap Yes to erase all data
That's it! The Microsoft Band 2 should now be back to factory settings. You can follow the steps to pair the Microsoft Band 2 with Windows 10 Mobile if you need to connect the band again.
